Our team of pipeline integrity in need for graduate students interns specialized in pipeline integrity. The company specializes in providing engineering consulting services for various sectors.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Graduate Students Interns Pipeline Integrity at HINGENEERING Consulting. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to pipeline integrity assessment and maintenance, with some work done in the Edmonton office and flexibility for remote work. The position offers valuable hands-on experience in the engineering field and to be actively engaged in Risk Based Design of Pipelines Systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Canadian University as Master or PhD Students in Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must currently live in Alberta, Canada.
• Knowledge of pipeline integrity assessment and maintenance
• A solid understanding of the basic components of the pipeline standard CSA-Z662-19, with particular focus on Annexes C and O. Familiarity with ASME standards B31.4 and B31.8 is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Python programming, as the role involves extending existing pipeline integrity code.
• Knowledge of the First Order Reliability Method (FORM) and Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS).
• Familiarity with corrosion, cracks, and dents limit states for buried pipelines.
• Data analysis, reporting, and documentation skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
