In a recent assignment, Hingeneering Consulting conducted the structural analysis and design for a structural steel skid required to support a movable production unit for one of our clients in Fort McMurray, AB. The challenges for that design is that there is no permanent location of the structure, so there are a lot of variabilities regarding the environmental loads such as snow and wind.
